Trip to the Thanksgiving point

Thanks to the Sacketts who let us spend two nights with them and to Irina who hosted us for nap times. With papa gone and driving to Virginia, we headed to the Thanksgiving farm. Little chicks were rather cute that day.

We fed the sheep.

Then all by her little self Sonia rode a pony for the first time.
She held her back straight and made me so very proud.
She later even dared to ride a big horse.
We practised milking a cow first then we actually got to milk a real one! I have never done that before... the udder felt warm and soft. Sonia knows for sure where the milk comes from now ;-)Little calf was so funny. He mooed at Sonia and Sonia was mooing back at him.He also liked our corn in the cup. We later watched him eat milk from a bottle. There is just so much to do on the farm... feeding geese off her hand, getting pinched and not minding it a bit ;-) is another fun memory.

We love going there and the kids are so excited to go again when we are in Utah next month. Looks like we will have missed you by a few weeks. Good luck with the new move!
