Catching up

Trip to the Reston Zoo:
In DC they don't' let you pet anyone so we went to a small zoo in Reston. We fed sheep and goats and gave them bottles. Best of Feo looking at animals whole day. He is such a great sport ;-) Since his birth Feo made it his business to come everywhere we go.
These little lamb are only two days old.
They feed with a bottle because mama sheep was hesitant to feed them... but she would come and check on them every so often. We fed mama sheep some food ;-)
Poky porcupine was friends with Kyla and he would go on walks with Kyla and even do tricks like a dog. He seemed more cooperative than our dog, Mischa.Unlike goats and sheep, pigs can bite so Sonia is carefully feeding them with a cup. Rabbits were hoping among huge tortoises...We played at the sand box while waiting for a ride.Sonia rode a pony. Kyla was right behind her; she didn't even get scared this time. Just chatting with him the whole time she was on the pony. Then we went on Safari in the blue wagon pulled by a big tractor.
Petting and feeding African wild cows with huge horns. Some antelopes.
Work night at the park with papa riding cool truck. Cherry blossoms in DC. Jeremy took us to a Building museum and we had lots of fun building Japanese garden, making coil fish and cherry blossoms. Japanese traditional and modern dance. We also watched DC ballet company perform. Then all little kids were invited to come on stage and participate in instant choreography stint. Sonia on stage with about a hundred other little kids. Children did a great job listening and following a dance routine ;-) Sonia surprised me. It was her first big stage performance of a kind. She was dancing with big kids under the direction of DC ballet choreographer. She followed well! No one killed themselves on the way off the stage... that was even a bigger surprise for the parents. It was sunny day but still cold. Sonia fell asleep in the stroller with her polar bear blanket. We walked to Potomac to see the cherry blossoms along the bank of the river; first blossoms were donated by Japan in 1912 and then again in 1960. Six hours flew by ;-)

What a fun day! The petting zoo reminds me of going with you to the one in Brooklyn, that was a great day. :0) It's nice to have so many great things in your area, I'm so impressed that you take such good advantage of them!

Oh! I'm dying at these pictures. I LOVE that Sonia can already ride a horse. How did you pull that one off? Addi LOVES animals too. We went to a friend's house for dinner last night and they had two dogs and a cat. Addi just crawled around and chased them all and giggled every time the boxer would kiss her. The older Sonia gets the more I think she looks like you only with Jeremy's curly/wavy hair. She's a complete doll! I love Feo's little hoody. It looks like you got a hair cut and it looks way cute. I also need to email you about craft ideas. Is Addi way to young for simple crafts ( 8 months)? I need ideas! You always are so creative.
